PART-TIME FIRE INSPECTORS
The Village of Lombard is seeking two part-time Fire Inspectors (up to 19 hours/week) for the Lombard Fire Department. Under the direction of the Fire Marshal, essential duties include: Conduct and/or assist with various types of inspections including certificate of occupancy, life safety, public event, special process, hazard mitigation, fire protection equipment and systems and other inspections as required. PART-TIME POLICE FRONT DESK CLERK
The Village of Lombard is seeking qualified candidates for a part-time Front Desk Clerk for the Lombard Police Department. Front desk personnel perform a variety of duties in order to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to police/village personnel and the general public. The primary duties include but are not limited to:

• provide phone reception for a multi-line phone system
• monitor patrol radio traffic and respond to requests for information
• monitor building and village campus video cameras
• create a summary log of reports submitted by the patrol division
• accept payment of fees or fines for administrative tows, parking citations and report requests
• operate LEADS state records system to enter, modify, update, and retrieve data regarding persons, vehicle and property records
• respond to and resolve in person citizen inquires and/or complaints

Front Desk personnel utilize several computer programs including MS Office and LEADS. This position requires excellent communication and organizational skills. Candidates must be able to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to multitask. Qualified candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent with one to two years of clerical/customer service experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the requisite knowledge skills and abilities for this position. Candidates must acquire full LEADS certification and NIMS compliance within 6 months of hiring. PART-TIME POLICE RECORDS CLERKS
The Village of Lombard is seeking qualified candidates for two Part Time Records Clerk positions (19 hours per week) for the Lombard Police Department. Records personnel perform a variety of maintenance, compilation, retrieval and distribution of official police department records in order to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to police and village personnel and the general public. The primary duties include but are not limited to:
• classifying and coding of case report data to comply with the state mandated Uniform Crime Reporting system (UCR)
• maintain and update reports and records in the department’s record management system, including scanning and archiving case documents
• process subpoenas and notices of trail
• process record checks, expungement orders, FOIA requests
• operate LEADS state records system to enter, modify, update, and retrieve data regarding persons, vehicle and property records
• electronically transmit tickets and complaints to the Circuit Court Clerk
• retrieve, record, summarize, and assist in the preparation of a variety of statistical reports
• respond to and resolve citizen inquires or complaints

PART-TIME INVESTIGATIVE AIDE/CRIME ANALYST
The Village of Lombard is seeking a part-time Investigative Aide (27.5 hours per week) for the Lombard Police Department. Essential duties to include: victim/witness courtesy contacts, interviews, computer inquiries and miscellaneous field work including the responsibility for vehicle maintenance, maintaining electronic equipment in a state of readiness, order supplies, prepare crime analysis reports, perform background investigation, produce critical reach bulletins and produce patrol alert bulletins. Assist members of the Criminal Investigations and supply the States Attorney’s Office with background information and relevant information for court as required. Position requires excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. A strong computer background in MS Office is preferred. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience in a Police/Law Enforcement environment, particularly experience in a criminal investigations unit is strongly preferred. Successful applicants will also be expected to possess, at a minimum, a valid Class ‘C’ non CDL Illinois Driver’s License free from incidence that may result in license revocation or suspension within six (6) months of hire date; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience providing the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities is required for this position.

CIVIL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN
The Village of Lombard is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician for the Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works. Assists staff engineers and inspects the installation of public/private infrastructure improvements to ensure compliance with village codes. The position will also assist with traffic related activities (traffic signals, street lights, signage, pavement markings, signal and stop sign warrant analyses, etc.). Requires at least a 2 year Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering Technology from an ABET accredited program or equivalent experience. FORESTRY TECHNICIAN
The Village of Lombard is seeking a Forestry Technician in the Urban Landscaping & Forstry Division of Public Works to perform skilled and semi-skilled tasks and equipment operation work in the trimming, removal and planting of trees and shrubs on Village-owned property under the jurisdiction of the Department of Public Works. Duties include: maintenance and removal of trees including properly installing rigging and equipment as needed and adhering to safety standards. Respond to emergency work situations 24 hours a day, which include but not limited to: plowing or salting streets, assist in repairing water main breaks, storm damage, etc. under the guidance of responsible crew. Operates equipment such as chipper, large front end loader, snow plow, dump truck, hi-ranger, etc. Assists in the maintenance of equipment, including routine field adjustments and repairs. Comply with all personal safety rules and regulations, both written and verbal as instructed by the supervisor or other governing agencies. Ability to use various computer applications where necessary.
